My ongoing body of work explores the space occupying the liminal edges of reality. I strive to dissect these areas in-between actuality and explore alternate realities and possibilities of what could be instead of what is, ignoring truths and creating my own along the way. These works are a sort of therapeutic personal research I conduct in order to express and analyze my own life experience.
Watercolor's transparent quality allows me to layer and contrast both imagery and technique. Among the many concepts in my work, I am most interested in the duality of nature and life. Utilizing techniques such as layering, and augmenting transparency and opacity, allow me to further this idea of opposing forces working in tandem.
